Appro’s HPC Blade Servers and Workstations To Support New Processor Speed Of Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ Processors



Milpitas, CA -- 26 de setembro de 2005 --Appro (http://www.appro.com), a leading provider of high-performance enterprise computing systems, announces today that Appro’s new XtremeBlade, HyperBlade servers and workstations will support Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processors Model 880 and Model 280.

Appro’s high-performance and versatile servers are highly scalable for cluster solutions and are expected to achieve even higher performance with Dual-Core AMD64 technology. These products will offer the highest performing processor in the market, providing a huge potential for Appro customers looking to get more computing power with less wattage. By supporting the new AMD Opteron processors, Appro will also take advantage of HyperTransport™ technology and AMD’s Direct Connect Architecture.
