R:The mobile AMD Duron processor provides dynamic power management with AMD PowerNow!™ technology, a 200MHz front-side bus and high-performance cache architecture, including a 128KB L1 cache and 64KB exclusive L2 cache. It also features a superscalar floating point unit and 3DNow!™ Professional instruction set, along with enhanced hardware data prefetch technology.

R:AMD PowerNow! technology extends the battery life of notebook PCs without compromising performance. AMD PowerNow! technology is a hardware capability that enables software to control the processor to run dynamically at different frequencies and voltages. It provides performance on demand, and enables longer battery life and cooler, quieter systems.


P:What is the die size of the 1.3GHz mobile AMD Duron processor? How many transistors does it have?
R:The 1.3GHz mobile AMD Duron processor has a die size of 105.7mm2 and has roughly 25 million transistors.


P:At what voltage does the 1.3GHz mobile AMD Duron processor operate?
R:The 1.3GHz mobile AMD Duron processor operates in the 1.2V to 1.3V range (depending on AMD PowerNow! technology state).

R:There are several chipsets supporting the 1.3GHz mobile AMD Duron processor; high performance chipsets equipped with a 4xAGP graphics port and support for SDRAM as well as DDR memory from VIA (KT-266A), ALi (1647), and SiS (735); and chipsets that include integrated graphics (UMA) from VIA (KN-133) and ALi (1646).
