Radeon Open Compute Platform (ROCm)

In order to bring easy adoption of AMD hardware to the established developer community, The Radeon Open Compute Platform (ROCm) was created to help integrate AMD hardware into existing heterogeneous computing environments.  ROCm is a fully open source software platform that supports GPU acceleration using the Heterogeneous Computing Compiler (HCC) and includes the ROCk Kernal Driver, an established system runtime ROCr, which is HSA compliant, and a rich ecosystem of tools and libraries like the HIP (Heterogeneous Interface for Portability) tool that allows developers to convert their code over from CUDA.  ROCm enables the exploration of what is possible with an open GPU computing foundation.​
