Wraith SR3 Cooler

AMD Premium Thermal Solutions

For people who care about the way their PCs run, sound, and look.

We’ve listened to our customer feedback and designed our newest coolers to deliver near-silent operation, bolstered with capable thermal hardware – with no increase in pricing when these new coolers have been added to existing processors – for a tremendous value.

A new line of Wraith Coolers for SocketAM4 and AMD Ryzen™ Processors

We’ve upped the ante with a whole new line of AMD Wraith Coolers for Socket AM4 and the new Ryzen™ processor. From the small Wraith Stealth, to the capable Wraith Spire, all the way to the top-of-the-line Wraith Max, every Wraith cooler features near-silent acoustics paired with capable thermal performance. In addition, the Wraith Spire Cooler bundled with the AMD Ryzen™ 7 1700 feature color-configurable LED illumination so your Ryzen™ processor looks as good as it performs, and allows for RGB color control when you choose a compatible motherboard like the ASUS Aura sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, Biostar VIVID LED DJ, and ASRock RGB LED.

Note: The Wraith Spire cooler with user-controlled RGB illumination is bundled exclusively with the AMD Ryzen™ 7 1700 processor. AMD Wraith Coolers bundled with Ryzen™ 5 and Ryzen™ 3 processors do not feature LED Illumination.

The AMD Wraith Max Cooler

The AMD Wraith Max represents AMD’s ultimate cooling solution for air-cooled processors. Now available for purchase as a standalone product, the Wraith Max is compatible with AMD Ryzen™ and 7th Gen A-Series and Athlon processors (socket AM4), and supports user-controlled RGB illumination on socket AM4 motherboards like the ASUS Aura sync, Gigabyte RGB Fusion, MSI Mystic Light, Biostar VIVID LED DJ, and ASRock RGB LED.

The Wraith Max is also compatible with legacy AMD FX™ 4000/6000/8000-series processors (socket AM3+) and legacy AMD A-Series and Athlon Processors (socket FM2+). Socket AM3+ and FM2+ motherboards do not support RGB illumination control, so the cooler will not be color configurable. It will only illuminate red on these legacy sockets.

Note: A unique version of the Wraith Max cooler with RGB programmable LED is also available as a pre-installed thermal solution in select partner systems.  If you have one of these pre-installed Wraith Max coolers that use USB-based RGB control, you can download the RGB illumination control utility for AMD Wraith Max cooler . This utility will *not* work on boxed Wraith Max coolers purchased at retail, which require motherboard software support for RGB control.

Footnotes
  1. Subject to use according to product specifications. The AMD Wraith cooler has a maximum noise level of 39dbA. The AMD D3 cooler, which the Wraith Cooler has replaced on certain CPUs, has a maximum noise level of 51 dbA. In the logarithmic dbA scale, a ten decibel difference is equal to ten times the amount of noise, so the AMD Wraith Cooler generates less than one tenth the noise of its predecessor. WTH-1
  2. Product only available when bundled with select AMD processors
  3. The AMD Wraith cooler has 179,730.10 mm2 of cooling fin surface area. The AMD D3 cooler, which the Wraith Cooler has replaced on certain CPUs, has 144,397.80 mm2 of fin surface area. This means the AMD Wraith Cooler has 24% more fin surface area than its predecessor. WTH-3
  4. Subject to use according to product specifications. The AMD S3 cooler has a maximum noise level of 39dbA. The AMD D3 cooler, which the S3 Cooler has replaced on certain CPUs, has a maximum noise level of 52 dbA. The AMD S2 cooler has a maximum noise level of 36dbA. The AMD D2 cooler, which the S2 Cooler has replaced on certain CPUs, has a maximum noise level of 52 dbA.  In the logarithmic dbA scale, a ten decibel difference is equal to ten times the amount of noise, so the AMD S2 Cooler generates less than one tenth the noise of its predecessor. WTH-4
  5. The AMD Wraith cooler fan pushes up to 55.78 CFM of airflow. The AMD D3 cooler, which the Wraith Cooler has replaced on certain CPUs, has a fan with a maximum airflow of 41.6 CFM. This means the AMD Wraith Cooler can push 34% more airflow than its predecessor. WTH-2
