CPU Speed CodeKit

This CodeKit software demonstrates how to measure CPU frequency.

This CodeKit software contains example code for determining the CPU frequency of an AMD Am186CC communications controller running on most of the AMD ISDN reference platforms. The CPU speed is measured by determining how many CPU cycles elapse during transmission of an HDLC packet, which is being transmitted at a known rate.
