Adastra Systems Corporation is an ISO 9001 certified designer, manufacturer, and marketer of embedded control systems and services for the OEM market. This US company was founded in 1992 and privately held until 2000.

In February of 2000, Adastra Systems was acquired by JUMPtec Industrielle Computertechnik AG of Germany.

JUMPtec is publicly traded on the Neuer Markt of the Frankfurt Stock Exchange under the symbol, 609060. The stock appreciated over 235% to EUR 87 in 1999 and has advanced to over EUR 100 in the first quarter of 2000. JUMPtec has used the proceeds from the IPO in March 1999 to pursue an aggressive growth strategy. In the past year, the company has acquired Adastra Systems, Inside Technology of Denmark, 2Net of the UK, and two other smaller German companies, Dr. Berghaus and CSS. Projected 2000 sales for the JUMPtec Group is over $55M. The merger of these companies has resulted in one of the largest companies in embedded technology and an indisputable market leader.

Despite this aggressive acquisition strategy, JUMPtec has been successful in allowing the individual companies to share in the benefits of the economies of scale associated with the larger firm.
