CAD-UL GLINK focuses on the implementation and memory layout of the target system. GLINK facilitates allocation of memory spaces by assigning objects to these spaces and moving objects between different locations.

Company Information
CAD-UL, Inc.: Founded in 1984, CAD-UL is recognized as the industry leader in embedded software development tools for the x86 family of processors.

GLINK makes use of a graphical user interface (GUI), which makes tedious editing of build files obsolete. As the user creates his own design, a memory map of the design is automatically created. The features of GLINK help embedded developers on multiple levels:
· GLINK serves as a visual tool for protected mode application design. GLINK provides an easy-to-understand graphical overview of module and segment placement.
· GLINK performs the generation of application build files. Users can begin from scratch or modify and verify existing build files.
· GLINK employs a hierarchical structure of modeling a protected mode application. Users have a good overview of the structure of their step-by-step design.
· GLINK features a drag-and-drop mechanism. The drag-and-drop mechanism allows fast creation and redesign of protected mode applications.
· GLINK uses templates. Hardware memory layout can be frozen and re-used for different or new applications.
· GLINK features an autoplacer. Users can take advantage of automatic placement of S/W modules into target memory layout.
· GLINK works with the CAD-UL Simulator. Users can debug an application and verify protected mode design without a target.
