The Module Élan386, with 1, 4 or 8 MByte DRAM, 512 KByte or 1-4 MByte Boot Block Flash (8-16 bit), DIL socket for FLASH Eproms, AT compatible keyboard controller and LCD Video RAM, expands to a PC-like environment with low power consumption and power management feature. In combination with the Élan evaluation board the module can be expanded with PC components like hard and floppy disk, keyboard and PS/2 mouse, PCMCIA cards in two slots and the wide variety of PC104 standard cards (e.g. VGA card). The additional plugs for LCD and CGA as well as redirection to serial port could be used for screen outputs. Up to 3 serial and one parallel ports complete the board to an embedded PC system which reduces development costs.
