Frame Relay is a packet-switched protocol used in digital networks around the world. Frame Relay is similar to X.25, but it runs on very reliable connections and does not need error control. This means that Frame Relay provides more effective bandwidth over the same wire.
The TsLink3® Frame Relay protocol stack supports the following:
Fully compliant to ANSI T1.617 and ITU-T Q.922A standards
Support for DTE (User) and DCE (Network)
Supports Permanent and Switched Virtual Circuits (PVC, SVC)
Local Management Interface (LMI)
User and Network Interface (UNI)
Major operating systems supported with pre-ported interface
The protocol stack has been validated throughout development and testing through hardware integration.
