As an extension of this legacy, AMD recently created the AMD Foundation to bolster the company’s philanthropic giving and provide focus for its more than 25-year history of community involvement.

The mission of the AMD Foundation is to connect and empower individuals with knowledge, thereby opening doors to opportunity. Foundation assets are specifically invested in the following areas through 501(c)(3) nonprofits and schools and special consideration will be given to programs that target disadvantaged youth and are based in AMD major site communities.

• AMD Changing the Game - an initiative designed to help youth harness the power of digital games with social content, while learning critical education (STEM) skills and life skills
• AMD Employee Giving Program - support of employees’ community interests by matching their personal donations of time and money to local organizations and schools
