Tyan Delivers High Value Through AMD Validated Server Program
Solid Service and Support Process Further Enhanced
FREMONT, CA -- Le 25 avril 2006 --Having access to knowledgeable technical staff and options to repair or replace products or product components is invaluable for customers engaging opportunities in the whitebox server space. In order to deliver the kind of service and support that customers are looking for, Tyan is developing and delivering servers that are strictly tested, verified, and have met the AMD Validated Server Program guidelines. Tyan products which have been included in the AMD Validated Server program guidelines include:
- Transport GT20 (B2865)
- Transport GT20 (B3870)
- Transport GT24 (B2891)
- Transport TA26 (B2882)
- Transport TX46 (B4882-D)
To become part of the AMD Validated Server line-up, there are stringent guidelines applied to every product and ODM participant. Requirements of the AMD Validated Server alliance are as follows:
- 24-hour, 7-day phone support worldwide
- 48-hour RMA service, from time of authorization
- Spare parts (FRU) support for channel customers
- Thermal and design qualification on all AMD Validated Server products
By exercising strong adherence to the regulations outlined in the AMD Validated Server program, Tyan will effectively provide AMD Opteron™ processor-based server products to the channel that will meet the quality standards set by larger system providers in the tier-1 space, with strong service and support backing behind each and every AMD Validated Server product sold.
