Signage

AMD is bringing the graphics performance and feature set of mainstream digital signage applications together with the benefits of a low-power and value oriented solution. With the introduction of the AMD Fusion Family of Accelerated Processing Units (APUs) and the AMD Embedded G-Series platform, the quality and performance of discrete-class AMD Radeon™ graphics is now available in a highly-integrated and low-power solution. Plus the AMD Embedded G-Series platform delivers support for features such as remote management and analytics that were previously not available in a platform in this price and power range.

Features & Benefits

  • Third Generation Unified Video Decoder – View and manipulate the latest HD video content with a dedicated hardware video decoder, enabling the system to operate at low power while playing high-definition video, and leaving the CPU free to perform other tasks.
  • Ultimate Image Quality – Performance that rivals high-end Blu-ray players on displays with resolutions that exceed 1080p – up to 2560x16001.
  • Digital Display Options – With built-in HDMI™, DVI and DisplayPort-capable interfaces, connecting to a wide range of commercial displays is easy.
  • Multi-Display Support – Dual independent display support with configurations supporting up to six independent displays, each with unique content2.

Articles/Whitepapers

  1. Capable resolution depends on a variety of factors including display type, operating system drivers, processor selection and number of displays.
  2. Discrete AMD Radeon™ graphics processors can be used for configurations requiring more than 2 independent displays. AMD Eyefinity technology works with applications that support non-standard aspect ratios, which is required for panning across multiple displays. To enable more than two displays, additional panels with native DisplayPort connectors, and/or DisplayPort compliant active adapters to convert your monitor’s native input to your cards DisplayPort or Mini-DisplayPort connector(s), are required. AMD Eyefinity technology can support up to 6 displays using a single enabled AMD Radeon™ graphics card with Windows Vista or Windows 7 operating systems – the number of displays may vary by board design and you should confirm exact specifications with the applicable manufacturer before purchase. SLS (“Single Large Surface”) functionality requires an identical display resolution on all configured displays.
