As European Field Application Engineer Nordics & Baltic you will be part of AMD´s System and Field Applications Engineering Team in Central Europe and you will work in a highly flexible environment supporting Nordics & Baltic. You are the key technical contact for your OEM and System Integrator customers.
In this role you will proactively coordinate our partners identified for projects and drive them to deliver the required sub-system for Hardware or Software timely and effectively. Within your responsibilities you provide in-depth technical feedback to the division to let AMD be the supplier of choice. You have the capabilities to motivate team members to get them passionate in order to achieve the best execution on the tasks and to coordinate and support the technical growth of the junior colleagues. Your high communication skills and excellent knowledge of the English language allows you to communicate at a technical level with international resources and customers and to achieve the tasks assigned by AMD management. Your responsibilities include, but are not solely limited:
- to assist customer’s architecture designers in projects and their specification,
- to analyze and identify Hardware & Software components to fulfill functional requirements (performance, power consumption, feature set, application SW, addressed business segment, System Management (RAS) features),
- to perform architecture partitioning,
- to identify AMD value proposition to functional requirements,
- to identify tasks that need to be accomplished for the success of the project,
- to set-up the cross functional project team and define work guidelines,
- to involve developer teams on special driver, application and hardware issues,
- to understand technical issues at the customer, isolate the issues and be able to describe the issues such that the engineer team in the Business Unit can solve the issues,
- to proactively identify, define and provide new configuration proposals to the customers and provide the entire value proposition in a way that the customer will develop the computer based on the configuration proposed,
- to deliver demo system to demonstrate the entire value proposition of the recommended configuration,
- to provide Hardware and architecture technical Pre-sales training of our OEM partners (SUN, HP, NEC CI, FSC, IBM, Dell, etc.),
- to make Hardware and architecture technical support available to specific market segment such as: bank institutions, oil & gas etc..

| Qualifications : |
You hold an Engineering Master's degree and multiple years of working experience in the field of high-end processors with at least 2 years spent in Server, Workstation or Desktop/ Mobile or Telecommunications development and/or Service (HW and SW). Good knowledge and professional experience with Computer/Systems based on x86 CPU architecture and also with UNIX, Linux and Windows is desired. Knowledge in the field of High Level Programming Language (C, C++ or Assembler) will be appreciated. This job is suitable for applicants with in-depth knowledge of the Nordics and Baltic Market on these segments. You have the capabilities to differentiate problems on Hardware and Software components.
You are a team player with capabilities to create and strengthen the relationship with members of the projects and have strong and proven project skills. You identify the obstacles and find the “alternative path” to achieve the results in the most effective way. A charismatic personality with respect for people, a loyal behavior and a positive and proactive attitude is desired. |
