Egenera BladeFrame System

The Egenera BladeFrame System is an integrated platform for utility computing based on a unique Processing Area Network (PAN) architecture that disaggregates processing, storage and networking assets traditionally housed in individual servers into pooled resources. Powered by single-core and dual-core AMD Opteron™ processors, Egenera Processing Blade configurations are designed to support mission-critical applications running on Red Hat Linux, SUSE LINUX and Microsoft® Windows® Server 2003. Virtualization technology enables any server in the BladeFrame to run any application at any time, allowing customers to reallocate capacity, increase utilization and cost-effectively provide high availability and disaster recovery. The BladeFrame system is physically simple to install and reduces datacenter complexity by consolidating all connections to data communications and storage networks.

Egenera BladeFrame ES

By delivering the PAN architecture in a scaled down form factor, BladeFrame ES enables IT organizations to leverage a common computing platform across the enterprise while bringing the benefits of virtualization to a wide range of applications and environments. The system is well suited for branch offices, call centers, remote sites and business units. Moreover, application-development teams can avoid resource gridlock and speed development-cycle time by procuring a dedicated unit. A compact form factor enables rack mounting along with storage devices, networking switches, routers and other components for an integrated solution.
