"La competizione nel campo dei microprocessori è attualmente più accesa che mai. Cio' costituisce un grosso vantaggio per gli utenti dei computer che potranno disporre di processori sempre piu' veloci e potenti. E' entusiasmante cio' a cui stiamo assistendo," ha detto Mike Feibus, capo analista per Mercury Research.

Il processore Athlon AMD è sempre più apprezzato dai principali produttori di computer. Compaq, IBM, Gateway, Pionex e CyberMax prevedono di dotare i propri sistemi del processore AMD Athlon a 850MHz.
