In equally configured platforms1, the enhanced Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor (“Shanghai”)-based platform offers up to a 62 percent overall performance to power ratio advantage over the highest performing 75W ACP Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor (“Barcelona”)-based platform. For these platforms, the enhanced Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor Model 2377 EE-based platform only used 115W at Active Idle compared to the Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor Model 2356-based platform using 135W at Active Idle. The enhanced Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor Model 2377 EE-based platform had a SPECpower_ssj™2008 result of 1129 overall ssj_ops/Watt (340,801 ssj_ops @ 100% target load). The Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processor Model 2356-based platform had a SPECpower_ssj™2008 result of 697 overall ssj_ops/Watt (301,617 ssj_ops @ 100% target load).
