Hanover, Gemany -- El 10 de marzo de 2005 --Packard Bell, one of the top home PC brands in Europe and the consumer brand of NEC Computers International, today introduced the EasyNote B3 Series notebook. It delivers a savvy combination of advanced design and technologies for cost-conscious buyers who want performance and portability.
Weighing less than 3 kg, the EasyNote B3 series is powered by the latest generation AMD Turion™ 64 mobile technology and Mobile AMD Sempron™ processors. For power-users, the AMD Turion 64 mobile technology is the latest 64-bit AMD processor designed specifically for notebook computing. Based on award-winning AMD 64 technology, AMD Turion 64 mobile technology features HyperTransport™ technology for increased bandwidth and reduced I/O bottlenecks. For mainstream users, the Mobile AMD Sempron processor offers best-in-class performance for a wide range of needs, including digital music, photos and gaming. Both processors feature AMD PowerNow!™ advanced power management technology, which extends battery life without compromising performance, and Enhanced Virus Protection, which enables the protection of Microsoft applications and associated files from memory buffer overrun attacks (requires Windows® XP SP 2).
The EasyNote B3 series also comes with a 15” TFT display featuring Diamond View display enhancing technology, making it the ideal choice for viewing photos and videos. Diamond View improves the clarity, colour and contrast of the screen to deliver a visibly superior visual experience. Diamond View makes colours more vivid. A Diamond View-enhanced screen is easier to read in bright sunlight, compared to traditional LCD displays.
In addition to its advanced processors and display technology, the EasyNote B3 series comes with a host of high-end features including up to 1 GB RAM, 64 MB shared system memory for graphics, a 80 GB hard drive and DVD Dual format Dual Layer (R9) burner. For optimal networking in any environment it includes built-in Wi-Fi b/g wireless networking, integrated 10/100 LAN for broadband and network access, and a standard 56K modem for dial-up Internet access. For flexible peripheral connectivity, it is equipped with four USB 2.0 ports.
The EasyNote B3 series comes with the Packard Bell Classic Software Edition, a comprehensive collection of brand-name software that is organised into three categories: Home Office, Home Entertainment, and Security and Internet. The EasyNote B3 series also features the latest Internet browser plug-ins and a new Recovery System, which protects user files while simplifying and speeding up the software reinstallation process.
