M3 Design Delivers AMD Alchemy™ Solutions Portable Media Tablet Reference Design Kit Enclosure
Round Rock, Texas -- El 4 de agosto de 2003 --M3 Design, Inc. today announced that it has successfully delivered injection-molded plastic enclosures for the AMD Alchemy™ Portable Media Tablet RDK.
When the AMD Personal Connectivity Solutions (PCS) Group decided to create a reference design that would demonstrate the superior capabilities of their Alchemy™ Solutions Au1500™ processor, they envisioned an enclosure design that would visibly communicate the attributes of the Au1500 processor as well as the Portable Media Tablet concept. They sought a partner who could create the concept, design it, tool it, and produce it in parallel with AMD Engineering’s circuit board design effort. AMD chose M3 Design, Inc. in Round Rock Texas to accomplish these tasks.
The resulting design is customer friendly, ergonomically sound and reflects the product’s mobility, performance, and integration. Also, the large, user-friendly grip areas make the Media Tablet easy to use while seated, standing, or lying down. The integrated stand and optional keyboard allow for simple and quick conversion to desktop operation.
