AMD Opteron™ Processor-Based Server Products
Bell Microproducts to Offer Celestica’s Value-Added
1U and 4U Server Solutions
San Jose, CA -- 7-го Июня 2004 --Bell Microproducts (NASDAQ: BELM), a top industry supplier to OEMs, System Integrators, VARs and Resellers, announced today the signing of an agreement with Celestica to distribute their full line of 1U and 4U server solutions throughout North America. These include server solutions based on the AMD Opteron™ processor family.
Celestica, together with AMD, has created the Validated Server Program in order to offer solution providers with servers that deliver quality, performance and reliability, along with end-to-end service and support. As part of the agreement, Bell Microproducts will distribute the A8440 4U 4P based on the AMD Opteron processor 800 Series, a 4-way capable rack-server, and the A2210 1U 2P based on the AMD Opteron processor 200 Series, a 2-way capable rack-server. These are available in both barebones and fixed configurations. These server solutions are scalable and configurable to satisfy demanding requirements for processing, storage and networking. Extensive software and hardware compatibility testing has been completed to provide uncomplicated deployment and operation.
Bell Microproducts will support Celestica’s product line with its Forecast-Driven Materials Management, Logistics, Automated Tools, and Integrated Supply-Chain Management programs.
