Am29PL (3.0V Page Mode) Family

The Am29PL 3.0 Volt-only Page mode Flash memory family offer simple and economical Flash memory solutions for high performance embedded systems. These devices allow designers to choose a Flash memory solution that can be implemented with the most popular microcontrollers with little or no glue logic.

The 32 Mbit Am29PL320D is AMD's first 32-bit Flash memory. Both the 16 and 32 Mbit Page mode devices consist of eight word pages. After an initial data access of 60 nanoseconds, data can be read asynchronously from any other location within the page as fast as 25 nanoseconds. Using Page mode Flash memories, designers can eliminate shadow RAM or bank interleaving, resulting in lower system cost.

Target markets for Page mode Flash memory include printers, network interface cards and other high performance systems.
