1.8V Device Features and Benefits
Features Benefits
1.8 Volt-only for Read, Program and Erase Lowers overall system cost and energy consumption by eliminating the need for 2.7 Volt, 5.0 Volt and 12.0 Volt power supplies
5 mA Typical Active Read Current Zero Power Operation (ICC = 1 µA typical) Extends system operation life between battery charges
SecSi (Secured Silicon) TMSector (16Mb only) An extra 256 bytes which may be programmed with a random ID and factory protected to prevent unauthorized product cloning.
ACCelerated factory programming Improves throughput by over 50% when using standard programming equipment.
Extended Operating Range Operates over 1.8 - 2.2 Volt range in commercial, industrial, and extended temperature ranges for use in a wide variety of applications
Boot Sector Architecture Adds flexibility to develop modular code
Sector Protect Disables writing to or erasing any sector; implemented using standard PROM programming equipment to provide virus-proof protection for the system code
Temporary Sector Unprotect Allows in-system changes to code within protected sectors
Package Options Offered in 48-pin TSOP and Fine Pitch BGA (FBGA) to provide smallest form factor solutions
Erase Suspend/Resume Gives users flexibility to suspend the erase operation to service system interrupts
Hardware Reset Pin (RESET#) Provides a simple way to return the device to the read mode
