HP will add Next-Generation AMD Opteron™ processors to the HP ProLiant DL385 and DL585 rack-optimized servers and the HP ProLiant BL25p, BL45p, BL465c and BL685c server blades and future workstations.

Based on the AMD Opteron™ processor, the HP ProLiant DL585 Storage Server is a network attached storage (NAS) gateway solution that provides multi-protocol file and print serving for both enterprise and workgroup SAN environments. The DL585 Storage Server is ideal for customers with limited IT resources who require quick, simple, rapidly deployable, flexible storage and who need remote manageability. The DL585 Storage Server is a NAS/SAN fusion storage solution that offers ease of installation and simple management features that reduce overall total cost of ownership (TCO).
