Develop and evaluate test plans and test suits to verify DFT features. Create test suites that verify each unique DFT structure including, Memory BIST, Boundary Scan, PLL and I/O components. Coordinate and drive solutions with RTL and logic implementation teams.

| Senior MTS or MTS Microprocessor Performance Modeling Engineer
|
| Job Function |
Provide technical direction and architectural timing simulator development, performance correlation and benchmark/workload analysis/characterization. Developing performance directed tests, interacting with microprocessor architects, RTL and microprocessor design/implementation teams to identify, resolve, and document architectural performance issues.
Specific role is dependent on candidate's ability, learning skills and project needs. AMD's performance modeling groups offer a stimulating and very competitive atmosphere in which candidates can learn and contribute to AMD's current and future high performance processor architectures.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Masters degree in Electronics/Computer Engineering or Computer Science with emphasis on computer architecture
- Candidates should also be proficient in programming with C/C++ in UNIX and/or WINDOWS environments. Strong analytical and scripting skills preferred.
- Experience in benchmarking and performance analysis of existing systems and/or workload collection.
PREFERRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 10 years of experience in leading teams and/or worked in the areas of high performance processor design, architectural performance modeling and analysis fields.
- Candidates with strong individual performance in the fields of microprocessor architecture development and modeling.
- Experience with simulator development and performance evaluation, and familiar with modeling issues and design tradeoffs in micro architecture development.
- Knowledge of PC systems, Processor architectures/micro architectures, buses, and memory sub-systems in general.
- AMD x86 architecture in particular, is highly desirable. Server or client level multi-processor system exposure is a plus.

| Macro Modeling and Verification Engineer
|
| Job Function |
Works with RTL team, circuit design team and implementation team to define, model and verify the macros of AMD's next high speed microprocessor.
Responsibilities include writing and debugging high level Verilog model of macro, writing test bench code to verify correct function of the model and verifying that the function of the gate level netlist matches the function of the Verilog model. Will read and interpret transistor level schematics, write and debug Verilog code, optimize Verilog code for simulation performance, run formal equivalence tools such as Verplex's LEC to compare model with schematic and write testbench code in Verilog to exercise both the Verilog model and theschematic model.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelors in EEE/ECE is required
- Strong logic and/or digital custom circuit design experience.
- Experience with Verilog or other high level programming language.

- Masters is preferred.

| Microprocessor Design Engineer

Work with the team that will advance high speed digital design technologies to the next generation. You will contribute to the development of advanced logic, circuits, techniques, and methodologies, culminating in the realization of next generation microprocessor products in deep submicron processes.
Primary job responsibility is high performance, reliable, implementation of complex processor micro architectures using deep sub-micron silicon processes. Job tasks include high frequency logic and circuit design, collaborating with physical design, circuit, and process technology teams, to perform design trade off, and realize area, power and performance optimized silicon implementations.

REQUIRED TECHNICAL EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- Bachelors degree (EE, EN,CE) with at least four years of VLSI design, preferably with exposure to custom high speed logic/layout development.
- Candidates with a MS/PhD, emphasizing advanced digital VLSI design, and with practical experience in VLSI implementations can also apply.
- The candidate should have a sound understanding of VLSI fundamentals encompassing devices, circuits, and logic families. Should have experience with performing timing/critical path analysis, and resolving speed path issues. | Microprocessor Verification Engineer

Primary job responsibility will be to perform logic and functional verification at both the block and chip levels. You will identify functional anomalies and debug to root cause. You will develop verification strategies, incorporating automated checkers, directed tests, and stress tests. You will develop, integrate, and use, tools and techniques for block and chip level functional verification and debug. You will contribute to the development of a comprehensive verification environment through the integration of several tools/flows.
Interacting with micro architects, design/implementation teams as well as product & test engineering teams to identify, resolve, and document design bugs/anomalies and contribute to the generation of silicon test /characterization suites.
