AMD Participates in TigerDirect’s "Build Your Own PC Race For Charity"
AMD Phenom processors featured in PC contest, computers donated to schools
AMD was a premier sponsor of the 11th Annual TigerDirect “Build Your Own PC Race for Charity”, which occurred Monday night at CES. At the event, journalists and bloggers raced to build computers in the fastest time. Stephen Fung, FutureLooks.com took first place, Will Smith, Maximum PC, took second and Charlie Demerjian, The Inquirer, took third after winning the event three years in a row. The computers built will be donated to schools.

AMD Smart House
At CES 2008, AMD hosts “the consumer portal to CES,” the AMD Smart House. Located in the main lobby, the home invites conference attendees to enter and interact with technologies from leading companies featured on the showroom floor. The booth is also home to “The Greenlees,” a family who can demonstrate how the products are used in everyday life situations. |

AMD Showcases OLPC XO laptop

OLPC is a world-wide effort to provide children around the world with new opportunities to explore, experiment and express themselves. AMD provides hardware to the OLPC laptop, a unique machine with features created specifically for children of the emerging world.
