AMD Singapore Recognized for ‘Outstanding’ Environmental Health and Safety Practices
AMD Singapore recently received two awards from the Singapore Government in recognition of its exceptional commitment to Environmental Health and Safety.
On behalf of AMD Singapore, Stephanie Lim, department manager of Human Resources, EHS and Security, accepted the Outstanding Achievement Award for Occupational Safety and Health Best Practices (OSHBP) from the Minister of Manpower, Mr. DR Ng Eng Hen, and the Singapore HEALTH (Helping Employees Achieve Life-Time Health) Gold Award from Member of Parliament, Mdm Halimah Yacob.
AMD Singapore won the Outstanding Achievement Award in recognition of its efforts to implement engineering control measures to reduce noise levels in a crushing room and in liquid nitrogen filling operations, while the Singapore HEALTH Gold Award honored AMD’s Workplace Health Promotion programs. AMD Singapore won the Bronze award in 2004, the Silver in 2005, and the Gold Award this year, which includes a workplace health promotion grant of S$5000.
