AMD Recognized as an Exceptional Performer for its Environmental Management System: In July 2006, KLD released a new strength rating called Environment: Management Systems. The new rating helps indicate a company’s commitment to reducing the impact of its operations on the environment. KLD defines companies with an exceptional EMS as those with 100% of their facilities certified to the ISO 14001 system or participation in other voluntary programs. In September 2006, AMD was listed among the exceptional performers.
