Dr. Bertrand Cambou
President and Chief Executive Officer
Dr. Bertrand Cambou is a seasoned industry veteran and recognized technology innovator. As executive vice president of AMD, and president and CEO of Spansion, he is responsible for overseeing all aspects of the company's business. Dr. Cambou joined AMD in January 2002.
Prior to joining AMD, Dr. Cambou held the position of managing director of Ingenico, an industry leader in the development of terminals for secure e-transactions. He was also chief operating officer and co-president of Gemplus, a leading company in the smart card industry. Dr. Cambou's career includes a 15-year tenure at Motorola where he held various management positions including senior vice president and general manager of the Networking and Computing System Group as well as chief technical officer of the Semiconductor Sector.
Dr. Cambou received his engineering degree from Supelec, Paris, and his doctorate in electronics from Paris XI University. He is the author of 15 U.S. patents.
