Intern and co-op positions are designed to further your education and provide you with valuable professional experience. You also may be eligible for a comprehensive range of personal benefits:
- Health insurance - You and your spouse and children are eligible for medical, dental, and vision insurance coverage beginning your first day of employment.
- Life insurance - This is available up to 150% of your annualized salary and starts on your first day of employment.
- Sick leave - Co-ops accrue four hours of sick leave per month, allocated at the beginning of each full month of employment, to a maximum of 48 hours.
- Holidays - Co-ops are immediately eligible for holiday pay. AMD provides 11 paid holidays per year.
- Relocation - AMD provides assistance to students relocating 50+ miles from their respective universities for their temporary work assignments. Contact the Relocation Department (California or Texas) for site specific assistance.
- Tuition reimbursement - AMD reimburses students for co-op program fees charged by their respective universities for a maximum of $600 per semester.
- Gym membership - AMD offers an on-site fitness center for its employees at a nominal monthly fee. Extras include personal training, fitness assessments, massages, and special programs.
