| Q: | What does DirectX™ 10.1 offer that DirectX 10 could not?
| A: | At one point, Microsoft referred to DirectX 10.1 as “complete D3D 10.” The reason for that is there are features that round out the DirectX API to offer an improved user experience, and a better use of hardware functionality. DirectX 10.1 has improved support for anti-aliasing as well as features like cubemap arrays (not to mention an update to the shader model to 4.1). Based on these improvements in functionality, we think DirectX 10.1 will be the new standard in 3-D for DirectX, and we’re committed to delivering a product portfolio of DirectX 10.1 parts. So yes, you can say we are excited about it, and believe the market will demand it in its GPU purchases in the future. |

| Q: | When do you expect to see games that take advantage of DirectX 10.1?

| Q: | Will introducing mid-range products ahead of enthusiast products be the trend moving forward for AMD?
| A: | The $150-$250 segment is one of the biggest parts of the market for performance users, and as such, it will be top of mind for us when we introduce new discrete graphics products to the market. We remain committed to the high-end enthusiast market, and feel strongly that we need to do an exceptional job of servicing the part of the market where most gamers buy. |
