Concurrent Computer Corporation Announces iHawk™ Real-Time Linux® Systems Powered By AMD Opteron™ Processor-Based Servers From Celestica

–iHawk Series 870 Systems Available For Immediate Delivery –

Atlanta, Georgia -- April 27, 2004 --Concurrent Computer Corporation (NASDAQ: CCUR), Integrated Solutions Division today announced the immediate availability of 64-bit versions of its highly deterministic real-time computing systems running RedHawk™ Linux. iHawk Series 870 systems are powered by 32- and 64-bit capable AMD Opteron™ processors and offer the superior floating point performance, increased memory addressability and industry-leading processing power that the AMD Opteron processor is known for.

Concurrent has partnered with Celestica in order to offer its powerful new iHawk Series 870 platform. Celestica and AMD jointly created the Validated Server Program (VSP) to enable world-class server solutions to meet the needs of VSP partners such as Concurrent.

Concurrent’s iHawk 870 systems are initially available in three platforms to meet a variety of customer requirements for high-performance data acquisition, simulation, process control and other demanding applications. The initial configurations are a 1U dual-processor rack mount system and a 4U quad-processor rack mount system. These systems are scalable and configurable to meet customer requirements for the most demanding applications. Concurrent will also build its own 3U dual AMD Opteron processor-based rack mount system with high-performance AGP video capabilities for customers with demanding graphics requirements.

Concurrent’s 32-bit iHawk Series 860 systems have proven themselves in mission-critical programs throughout the world including the Eurofighter training device, FA-18 and EA-6B simulation systems and the Theater High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) missile program. They are also used in telecommunications testing, U.S. and European automotive simulation systems and industrial control applications. iHawk Series 870 systems build upon this success and allow our customers the choice of a 32- or 64-bit platform that is best suited to their high-performance, real-time and evolving needs.

“Concurrent has continued its tradition as a leading real-time technology innovator with the introduction of its AMD Opteron processor-powered iHawk systems,” said Ben Williams, director of the Server/Workstation Business Segment at AMD. “AMD Opteron processors and iHawk systems offer a range of functionality, industry-standard x86 compatibility, and leading-edge performance that maximizes customer value.”

“We are pleased that Concurrent has selected our products for use in such demanding markets as simulation, data acquisition, process control and testing,” said Steve Van Binsbergen, vice president and general manager, Computing Systems Unit, Celestica. “Concurrent’s offering validates our commitment to supplying the system builder and system integrator communities with technologies that offer exceptional quality, performance and reliability”.

“The addition of AMD Opteron processor-based platforms to our iHawk family allows us to address new high-tech markets, such as medical imaging, video encoding/decoding, and the financial industry that require larger memory addressing and increased processing power,” said Gary Beerman, Director of Marketing.
