SAN DIEGO, Calif. -- April 21, 2005 --Verari Systems™, a premier developer of powerful, platform-independent blade computing systems, announced today that it will offer the BladeRack® blade server system based on the Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processors. In addition, Verari Systems also plans to integrate the AMD dual-core technology throughout its entire server product line by early June 2005. Verari Systems' flexible and scalable platform-independent architecture ensures seamless incorporation of the latest in next-generation high-performance technology.

“Serving the rapidly growing blade market, Verari Systems and AMD continue their collaborative relationship to offer the right solutions for compute-intensive enterprise environments,” said Ben Williams, vice president, Commercial and Server/Workstation Business, AMD. “AMD Opteron processors with Direct Connect Architecture empower Verari Systems’ customers to seamlessly tap into the performance and efficiency benefits of dual-core processors, paving the way to pervasive x86-based, 64-bit computing.”

“Verari Systems' standards-based architecture and patented Vertical Cooling thermal management technologies allow us to package our BladeRack blade servers with the latest AMD Opteron processors available today in the densest form factor possible,” said David Driggers, CEO of Verari Systems. “Our customers will continue to receive the best performance-per-watt architecture available in the HPCC market.”

The Verari Systems' BladeRack blade server will consist of 66 nodes containing 132 Dual-Core AMD Opteron processors and Verari Systems’ patented Vertical Cooling Technology™, which enables the world's fastest microprocessors to perform in the highest density, highest performance blade environment available on the market today. Combined with the Verari Command Center™ software, which extends systems management with the capability to provision systems software, applications and updates across blade servers, the BladeRack is a powerful high-performance computing solution for grid and utility computing.
