AMD Scores Major European Enterprise Design Win with NEC Computers International

--AMD innovation continues to gain acceptance in commercial markets--

PARIS, FRANCE -- March 5, 2001 --AMD today announced that NEC Computers International, one of the world's top PC manufacturers, has selected AMD Athlon™ and AMD Duron™ processors for its PowerMate DT series of commercial desktop computers. The AMD processor-based PowerMate DT series will target European large enterprise and government markets, initially in France, the United Kingdom, Italy and the Netherlands. This major win signifies the growing demand for AMD Athlon™ and AMD Duron™ processors in the commercial market. Systems are planned to be available immediately.
