AMD Receives Bosch's Top Memory Supplier Award



SUNNYVALE, CA -- July 10, 2001 --AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced that the company has received the top memory supplier award from Robert Bosch GmbH for the two-year period 1999- 2000. The award was presented to AMD's Flash Memory Group for outstanding performance, quality, and reliability. The Bosch Group depends on AMD Flash products for advanced automotive engine and transmission control units in addition to car PC's, navigation and telematic systems."

AMD is thrilled to receive this prestigious award from a company that is recognized around the world for its industry-leading quality and technology," said Walid Maghribi, AMD's senior vice president and president of the company's Memory Group, who received the award at the Bosch automotive test site in Boxberg, Germany. Driven by its efforts to support Bosch's challenging needs, AMD has pioneered innovative technologies such as high performance Burst Mode and Known Good Die (KGD) Flash memories. As part of its commitment to Bosch and the automotive industry, AMD has delivered unmatched levels of reliability in its flash memory products with specifications of 1 million cycles of endurance and 20 years of data retention.

AMD received Cisco Systems' highest customer satisfaction recognition, the "Cisco President's Award" in Dec. 2000, the Nortel 2000 "Supplier of the Year" award, the Samsung 2000 "Best Supplier" award, the Volkswagen 1999 "Leading Edge" award and the Cisco 1999 "Semiconductor Supplier of the Year" award.
