AMD Enters Into Microprocessor Foundry Agreement with IBM Corporation
SUNNYVALE,CA -- February 27, 1998 --AMD today announced that it has signed a two-year foundry agreement with International Business Machines Corporation. The agreement will somewhat augment AMD's capacity from Fab 25 in Austin, Texas, for the production of AMD-K6® processors. AMD said that wafer starts at IBM are planned to commence during the third quarter of 1998.
