SUNNYVALE, CA -- October 26, 1998 --AMD today announced that desktop and notebook systems based on the AMD-K6® processor family are available from Packard Bell NEC.
Desktop models Packard Bell 955 and NEC Ready 9888 will be powered by 333-MHz AMD-K6®-2 processors with 3DNow!™ technology. The NEC Ready 340T notebook computer features a 300-MHz mobile AMD-K6® processor. All of the new systems are bundled with productivity and entertainment software and will be available from retail outlets throughout the United States in time for the holiday shopping season.
