AMD-K6®-2 Processor with 3DNOW!™ Technology Saves The PC World in New Television Commercial

SUNNYVALE, CA -- September 14, 1998 --AMD is launching a new television commercial featuring its latest AMD-K6®-2 processor with 3DNow!™ technology. The commercial will break Thursday, September 17, 1998, on prime-time television.<

"The real world isn't flat, and there is no reason why the world inside your computer should be limited to two dimensions," said Tom Stites, vice president of Communications at AMD. "Using stunning effects, the commercial emphasizes how state-of-the-art 3-D technology enhances the visual computing experience."

The new commercial will air in seven major markets throughout the country including New York, Boston, Chicago, Austin, Dallas, San Francisco and Los Angeles. It will run for seven weeks and appear on prime-time shows like Fraiser and ER, local news and sports programs.
