AUSTIN, TX -- October 1, 1997 --AMD today announced its sponsorship of the Pan American Wireless Local Loop conference October 27-29 in Miami. More than 20 panel discussions and workshops will be held during the conference's three days. In-depth analyses will include topics in:

AMD will host a workshop on the final day that addresses transmitting data over wireless local loop, implementing wireline services and evaluating competing systems and costs profiles.
