San Clemente, CA -- September 26, 2005 --@Xi Computer Corporation today announced that it is offering a revolutionary new dual-core series of multiprocessor workstations and servers equipped with Dual-Core AMD Opteron™ processors, Model 880 and Model 280. Availability is immediate at press time for platforms based on the Dual-Core AMD Opteron processor, Model 880 and Model 280, and within 30 days for systems with the Model 180 processors. These new dual-core, single and multiple processor solutions represent a further step up in performance and affordability for @Xi’s demanding client base in the fields of HPC, CAD, CAE, medical imaging, national security, automobile manufacturing, oil and gas exploration, video post-production and broadcast markets.
