ZT Systems Announces Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ Processor Powered Servers for Groundbreaking Datacenter Performance and Efficiency

Secaucus, NJ -- September 10, 2007 --ZT Systems today launched servers based on revolutionary native Quad-Core AMD Opteron™ processors. Previously codenamed “Barcelona”, these new processors feature the industry’s first-ever native quad-core x86 solution, featuring four 64-bit cores on the same piece of silicon. Equipped with this groundbreaking technology, forthcoming ZT Systems servers will provide datacenter customers with unprecedented performance and thermal/energy efficiency at cost effective prices.

“ZT Systems is pleased to collaborate with AMD on the launch of this groundbreaking new native quad-core server technology,” said ZT’s Rick Garian, Vice President of Business Development and Strategy. “Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor technology provides a leading-edge platform that further expands our server offering and capabilities for providing ultra high-density, energy-efficient solutions.”

“Our data center customers will be able to benefit from the highest level of performance per watt within our cost effective, custom solutions,” said Garian. “As an AMD Platinum Solution Provider, we see native quad-core solutions as a large part of our expansive growth into the x86 server market.”

As a member of the AMD Validated Solutions Program, ZT Systems produces servers with the rigorous platform validation and testing required of program participants. IT managers can now leverage ZT Systems’ unbeatable value to make smart purchasing decisions, while enjoying the peace of mind of dependable, validated solutions.

“AMD appreciates the experience and custom solutions that ZT Systems brings to the high-volume server space,” said Patrick Patla, Director of Product Management, Server/Workstation Division, AMD (NYSE: AMD). ”ZT Systems’ servers powered by Quad-Core AMD Opteron processors are a smart choice for datacenter customers who are seeking increased performance and overall system efficiency without increasing power consumption.”

Quad-Core AMD Opteron processor-powered ZT Systems’ servers are ideal for virtualized applications, a leading consideration for today’s enterprise customers. Rapid Virtualization Indexing, an enhancement to AMD Virtualization™ technology, is designed to reduce the overhead penalty associated with virtualization technologies. It is designed to move the process of virtual to physical address translation from software directly into the hardware. AMD Virtualization technology helps reduce the complexity of existing x86 virtualization solutions, offering increased performance and efficiency for many virtual workloads, and allows for a higher performing, more flexible IT environment.
