AMD Wins Fourth Consecutive ‘Best of Show’ at Midsize Enterprise Summit

—IT executives show appreciation for AMD’s customer-centric approach to commercial market—

SUNNYVALE, CA -- February 6, 2002 --AMD (NYSE: AMD) today announced that for the fourth consecutive time it has won the Midsize Enterprise Innovation Award for Best of Show at the Midsize Enterprise Summit, a Gartner, Inc. (NYSE: IT and ITB) event. The award is based on the creative design and delivery of the company’s enterprise message and is voted on by senior IT executives.

“At this event, we exchanged information and ideas about competition in the microprocessor industry and AMD’s commitment to the commercial marketplace,” said Kevin Knox, AMD’s director of Enterprise Segment Marketing and Business Development for North America. “Our discussions centered on the combination of performance, infrastructure reliability and stability that AMD provides throughout its product lines, which is exactly what the IT community is seeking. We appreciate the IT executives for recognizing us with this fourth consecutive honor, and for their continued support and interest in AMD.”

AMD offers the IT community a complete lineup of processors for desktop, mobile, server and workstation computing specifically designed to meet the unique needs of commercial customers.

“The Innovation Award is especially prestigious because the winner is selected by senior IT executives who represent core midsize enterprise companies, most in the $400-$800 million revenue range,” said Bill Booth, vice president, Gartner’s Vision Events. “It tells the winner that the IT decision-makers they’ve targeted have not only heard, but also value the ideas they’ve presented.”

Conference attendees cast their confidential ballots for the Innovation Award for Best of Show at MES/West in Phoenix, held January 20-22, 2002.
