AMD today announced that Dr. Martin Gillo, director of Human Resources for Europe, has been appointed to a cabinet position in the State Government of Saxony, Germany. Dr. Gillo will serve as the State's new Secretary of Economic Affairs and Labor.

Dr.Gillo has been with AMD for more than 20 years. Most recently, he played a key role in the establishment of AMD's Fab 30 microprocessor facility in Dresden, Germany, serving as Geschäftsführer and Director of Human Resources since 1997.
