AMD has announced that users of its CPU and GPU based computing platforms can accelerate new video editing and processing software from a range of developers, vastly reducing the time required to perform increasingly popular, but highly compute intensive tasks, such as converting a large, high-definition file into something suitable for viewing on an iPod. Using the latest ATI Catalyst driver, users can unlock the ATI Stream acceleration capability already built into supported ATI Radeon™ and ATI FirePro™ graphics cards. |
