Bandwidth
The amount of data that can be transmitted over an electronic line in a fixed amount of time. For digital devices, the bandwidth is expressed in bits per second (b/sec) or bytes per second (B/sec). For analog devices, the bandwidth is expressed in cycles per second, or Hertz (Hz) (cycles per second).
