DDR SDRAM - (Double Data Rate Synchronous Dynamic Random Access Memory).
The next evolution of SDRAM that doubles the memory bandwidth. Normal SDRAM provides data bandwidth up to 1.1 gigabytes per second (GB/sec) while DDR SDRAM doubles that rate to 2.1GB/sec.
