AMD64 Compilers – Open Source (Linux, Solaris, UNIX)

Absoft Pro Fortran v9.0
Linux Fortran Compiler (Fortran 95 v9.0 for 32-bit and 64-bit Linux) combines superior performance, solid reliability and the industry's most complete list of tools and libraries into a single package. New optimizations specifically designed for x86-compatible AMD64 processors deliver industry leading application performance and Absoft Fortran95 allows generation of both 32-bit and 64-bit executable programs in a single environment. For maximum efficiency at tracking down and eliminating bugs, every copy of Absoft Fortran 95 includes a copy of Fx2™, the industry-leading Fortran debugger, at no additional charge.

Franz Allegro Common Lisp
The Allegro CL AMD 64 code generator takes full advantage of the pipelining and follows instruction scheduling and optimization rules recommended by AMD. Applications written for any Allegro CL platform are trivially portable to the others. Gain a competitive edge by harnessing the object-oriented and functional capabilities of ANSI Common Lisp with logic programming, accessibility of the internet and a comprehensive suite of development tools. Allegro Common Lisp 7.0 makes it easier and more cost effective than ever to solve very complex problems and deploy fast, scalable, easy-to-evolve, internet-ready applications.

NAGWare f95 Compiler (Fortran) by NAG
The NAGWare f95 Compiler is a full Fortran 95 compiler for a range of Unix platforms. Derived from the NAGWare f90 Compiler, the world's first Fortran 90 compiler, f95 provides robust, well-tested, and widely-ported compiler capabilities for the Fortran 95 language. The f95 Compiler accepts fixed or free format Fortran 95 input and many common Fortran 77 extensions. A 30-day trial is available to qualifying organizations and individuals.

PathScale EKO Compiler Suite (C, C++, Fortran)
The PathScale compiler suite maximizes the performance of application code when compiled for AMD Opteron™-based systems. AMD64 architectural advantages like complex addressing modes, large register sets, more efficient parameter passing, and SSE2 support, are specifically optimized for the AMD Opteron processor. In addition, inline AMD64 assembly code can also be issued. The PathScale Compiler is available in installable Linux RPM format, and is tested on SuSE, RedHat, and Fedora Linux.

PGI Fortran and C High-Performance
Compilers and Tools from The Portland Group

New in version 5.2 of PGI compilers is support for full Fortran 95 extensions, one-pass interprocedural analysis, full support for large data obejcts >2GB and full 64-bit support on AMD64. PGI compilers and tools offer the most comprehensive Linux compiler support in the industry, including support for Red Hat(tm) 7.0 through 9.0 and Enterprise Linux 3.0, SuSE™ 7.1 through 9.1 and the 64-bit SuSE Linux Enterprise Server 8. Download a free 15-day trial of the PGI Workstation 5.2 compilers and tools for 32-bit x86 or AMD64 workstations or servers. Email questions to sales@pgroup.com or call PGI sales at (503) 682-2806.

Steel Bank Common Lisp (SBCL)
Steel Bank Common Lisp (SBCL) is an Open Source development system for ANSI Common Lisp. It provides an interactive environment including an integrated native compiler, interpreter, and debugger. SBCL works well with Unix when running non-interactively. SBCL runs on many Unix and Unix-like systems:
• Linux, FreeBSD, NetBSD, and OpenBSD on x86 CPUs
• Linux and Tru64 on Alpha CPUs
• Linux and Solaris on SPARC CPUs
• Darwin (Mac OS X) and Linux on PPC CPUs

Sun One Studio 8, Compiler Collection (C, C++)
The Sun C, C++, and Fortran compilers include advanced features for developing applications on Sun Solaris SPARC and X86 platforms. These compilers utilize a common optimizing backend code generator, and accept standard C, C++, and Fortran with extensions.
