ATI Enterprise Products Incorporate Support for AMD Opteron™ Processor-based Systems

Markham, Ontario -- April 22, 2003 --ATI Technologies Inc. (TSX: ATY, NASDAQ: ATYT) today announced that it will incorporate support for the new AMD Opteron™ processor in its Windows and Linux drivers for servers and workstations. ATI's enterprise products will work with the AMD Opteron processor to deliver solid, stable solutions for commercial use. The AMD64 architecture, combined with ATI graphics, will support increased graphics data throughput, enabling improved performance for CAD, digital content creation or storage management systems.

ATI’s long tenure in the graphics industry had built a significant customer base in the enterprise sector. ATI continues to ship millions of Rage family graphics accelerators enabling servers around the world. Additionally, ATI’s RADEON and FIREGL products power servers and workstations in institutions, studios, engineering firms and data management houses around the world.

"The AMD Opteron processor offers simultaneous 32- and 64-bit computing, easing the transition to 64-bit computing for enterprise users," said Rick Bergman, Senior Vice President, Marketing and General Manager, Desktop, ATI Technologies Inc. "By working with industry leaders like AMD and incorporating support for groundbreaking products like the AMD Opteron processor, we will continue to deliver stable solutions that lead the industry in features and performance."

“The AMD Opteron processor, along with ATI’s family of products, will offer enterprise customers a solution to optimize 32-bit application performance today, and a simplified migration path to the power of 64-bit computing,” said Rich Heye, vice president and general manager of AMD’s Microprocessor Business Unit. “ATI has a strong presence in the enterprise space and we are pleased to see a commitment to bring 64-bit support to its server and workstation customers.”
