Q:What prevents the AMD Athlon processor and the VIA KX133 chipset from working together?
A:The VIA KX133 chipset is designed to work with the AMD Athlon processor in the Slot A module. The AMD Athlon processor transitioned to Socket A packages. Customers choosing to use the AMD Athlon processor Slot A modules must use motherboards based on the AMD-750™ chipset.


Q:What happens if a user plugs the AMD Athlon processor into a KX133 motherboard?
A:We don't expect the system to function properly. The KX133 chipset was designed to work with the version of the AMD Athlon processor in the Slot A module.
