Actions/Themes and Next Steps
The GCAB members determined that there were a number of powerful actions that the group could take to address these five issues and find some closure to the gap. The group conducted an open-ended brainstorm, each member contributing what they felt were the most powerful actions they could possibly take to impact the Technology Gap.
Next Steps
The group concluded that the following steps should be taken:
- The GCAB agreed that they will evangelize and educate consumers and industry stakeholders within their individual constituencies about the gap and the five contributing issues.
- The GCAB members agreed that the next steps should include validating a select number of the groups’ findings through additional research.
- A subcommittee of three will be formed to create a specific proposal for research. Interested members will submit their names to the chair, who will decide final committee members. The proposal will include scope, objectives and approach for the research and will be shared with the board to review and comment before the next GCAB meeting.
- AMD will create and host a public Web site for the GCAB including member bios, FAQs, video clips, quotes, news releases, meeting summaries and member papers. Members are asked to submit their own papers to post to the Web site.
- The next GCAB meeting will be virtual and will be scheduled for late August. AMD will send out proposed dates, explore best method and send out decision to all GCAB members.
