Our first priority is to invest in long-term programs that promote successful communities and an improved quality of life. We believe that education is the great equalizer because, regardless of background or social status, everyone can improve their opportunities for success through educational achievement.
Academic achievement opens doors, not only for individuals, but for entire communities as well. AMD’s continued commitment to education extends to supporting unique programs in the communities where we operate, around the globe. AMD focuses on programs that help increase student interest and proficiency in science, technology, engineering, and math—also known as STEM skills.
The majority of AMD’s donations target existing programs that are run by longstanding community partners. And through AMD Changing the Game, an initiative of the AMD Foundation, we also seek out local organizations that provide education in new and creative ways. AMD Changing the Game strives to support organizations that meet kids where they are—turning their innate passion for gaming into an opportunity to teach them the skills they need to be successful students and employees in our digital society.
With our primary focus on education, we contribute primarily to organizations dedicated to education, but we also fund programs that help improve overall quality of life in our communities.
