- Prior to 2006, AMD included only manufacturing sites in our performance indicator reporting.
- Data does not include contributions from Spansion Inc. for consistency with data reporting under EPA’s Climate Leaders Program and AMD’s Global Climate Protection Plan. 2007 data includes contributions from ATI technologies, acquired on October 24, 2006. AMD’s PFC emissions have been reduced significantly from 1995 levels in support of the World Semiconductor Council (WSC) goal of a 10 percent industry-wide reduction of annual PFC emissions by the year 2010 using 1995 as the baseline year. For more information on AMD’s climate protection strategy and metrics, please see AMD’s Global Climate Protection Plan.
- On March 2, 2009, AMD along with Advanced Technology Investment Company and West Coast Hitech LP, formed GLOBALFOUNDRIES, Inc., a joint venture that manufactures semiconductor products. GLOBALFROUNDRIES is a supplier to AMD. AMD has no operational control over this manufacturing joint venture.
- 2009 data does not include wafer manfucturing contributions due to AMD's divestiture of manufacturing to GLOBALFOUNDRIES in 2009.
- 2004 - 2008 data includes wafer manufacturing data as reported in the past.
- Increase in Non-Manfacturing electricity use is primarly due to inclusion of actual use data for sites previously reported as de minimis sites estimates.
